Father & Son Soul Food Catering

My husband and I visited today for the first time and we are very impressed! The atmosphere is clean and inviting. When we arrived we were offered a new drink sample and it was very tasty (we actually ordered it also). We used the kiosk to place our orders and there were pictures and of the items on it. I was originally going to get the jerk wings but the shrimp looked delicious, so I ordered that instead. I ordered the Large shrimp with mac and cheese and potatoes with the large mango drink. My husband ordered the Large fried catfish with yams and mac and cheese with the large mango drink. The total was about 50. While we waited for our food, the young man behind the counter engaged us in conversation and when he found out that it was our first time he offered us samples (honey bbq wings, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes). It was DELICIOUS! Our food was ready in about 10 minutes. It was warm and tasty - well seasoned. The only downside to this restaurant is that it is take out only. But it was well worth it! We will definitely be regulars.

I was hungry on a Saturday afternoon in the salon. A client suggested we order from here. This is my first time ordering from here btw. I ordered the whiting, with collards and candy yams. She ordered turkey wings, mac & cheese, collard greens and peach cobbler. We were both beyond satisfied. We loved our food so much and will definitely be back.

This establishment has amazing food/service... both taste and quality are top tier! The owner, Sean is extremely accommodating and professional with great customer service/energy... what I love most is that he always knows my order without saying. I'm obsessed with the fried wings here, so it's normally my go-to... so so good!!! I'm always greeted with the warmest welcome and smile... the overall feel of the restaurant is what you'd expect getting soul food with southern hospitality in Brooklyn. What a great addition to the Brownsville community. 10/10 highly recommend!

Went in today the door was locked, thought they were closed. One of the young guys came to unlock the door and told us it was an hr wait. We didn’t wanna wait went back to the car he came back out and said 20 mins. We came in they were so pleasant and welcoming. Ordered our food went to wait in the car. He told us to wait gave us a plate of samples. By time I ate that in the car I was full. Food was delicious. I came in to pick up the food he also added some lemonade which was bomb too. I’m big on customer service even though they were busy and overwhelmed. Not once I felt dismissed or rushed. Definitely will order again from here.

I cannot rave enough about this place. Food 10/10 . Customer service 10/10 , I’m ashamed to say I will be coming every Friday. Best food. They even give samples.

I ordered my food through doordash. I found the food to be flavorful and it came at a decent time. The sweet chilli shrimp and sweet chilli wings were my favorite items.

I found this place from Instagram. Someone posted a video of them going in and ordering plus a food review. Based on that, I wanted to try it. My first time trying it the food was really good even though its not what I ordered since they were out of stock that day, but I enjoyed my meal. I decided to give them another shot, a different day. This time, my entire order got canceled because they were out of stock. I was disappointed . I said the third time would be the charm, and I am glad that I was right. This time around, I waited a few weeks, and I ordered earlier in the day and got everything I ordered. The food tasted fresh and nice. I truly enjoyed my meal. I never had a fried porkchop before, and I enjoyed it. The food arrived hot too. That was the best part. I am happy that I gave them another try. Food 10 out of 10.

If I could give Father &Son 10 stars based on customer service alone, I would! We were greeted immediately when we walked in and asked if it was our first time, then got a a warm "welcome" when we replied yes. They were busy, it was a Saturday afternoon around four and it's only take out. The establishment was clean, and not terribly crowded; there were a few Uber eats/grub hub delivery persons waiting for orders and a few other patrons waiting to place their orders as well. Once we decided what we wanted, I had the chance to ask the gentlemen who greeted us if he was the father of the son,and he said "the son" with a smile. We stepped off to the side to wait like everyone else, and not 60 seconds passed and a young lady came from the kitchen And gave us a small container with yams, macnchz, and a sweet chili sauce drenched wing! We were confused when she was trying to hand them to us and so grateful for the sample. It was a very nice touch! The yams and Mac n cheese were ok, and the wing was nicely coated in the sauce, but I'm not really a fan of spicy food so I only tasted it. I also don't eat much chicken any more do it would've been awesome to get another dude it something else. I'm not complaining - that was one of the best gestures I've ever received at a local restaurant and it's the reason I'd give 10 stars if I could. We waited for about 10 minutes for our fried catfish and sides of cabbage, yams, Mac and cheese and collard greens. The food was ok, nothing extra ordinary, just delicious as you'd expect. I wasn't a fan of the collard greens, to me they were overcooked and had a peppery spicy note that I'm not fond of. Overall, I would visit again if I were in the area and would recommend if you're looking for an establishment that makes you feel appreciated and valued. Oh, the big boy pink lemonade?!? Took it home and froze it...sweet and delicious!
